Welcome to Hebble End Works!

We are a collective of artists, makers, creatives and independent shops situated inside an old weaving and dye-works mill along the canal towpath in Hebden Bridge.  We’d love you all to come and visit, there’s something for everyone! We are open daily, however some businesses operate Thursday to Sunday during winter. Please find our list of traders and their information below:

Sophie Heywood – The Peg Loomer
Sophie works with wool in various forms – creating handwoven homewares and felted jewellery, decorations and fibre art from British wool. She sources fleeces from Yorkshire farms and has it spun at a traditional woollen mill in East Yorkshire, supplying spinners, knitters and other crafters with fully traceable, naturally coloured rare breed wools. She offers free knitwear patterns by Jacinta Bowie, and finished knitwear is available too.
“I am passionate about promoting and utilising this incredible fibre that we have all around us and that all too often goes to waste. I want to support farmers and our British woollen industry to bring the value back to British wool.” Sophie also teaches peg loom weaving and needle felting in her workshops, showing others how to create beautiful things for themselves.

Antonia Stirling – Antonia Interiors

Antonia is a figurative oil painter with a love of contrast and a rich palette. Her paintings reflect her mood, from nudes and portraits to florals in vases and she uses a combination of the brush and palette knife to create texture and depth.

The interiors side for me is an extension of my art, working with luxurious designer velvets and fabrics to create beautiful pieces that will be reloved for many more years to come. My aesthetic is shaped by a lifelong fascination with contrast, I’m inspired equally by the glamour of Art Deco and the rebellious energy of punk. “My love of interiors stems from my childhood when my parents, who were both artists, also ran an emporium on Haworth Main Street and our home was filled with stylish Art Deco pieces. Antonia Interiors began when I decided to create atmospheric and stylish pieces to adorn homes, pieces of everyday art.” Her showroom and workshop is where she sells, restores and reupholsters antique and vintage furniture.

Kate Rhodes – Kate Rhodes & Co

Kate is a jewellery designer/maker specialising in recycled silver and metals. As well as making and selling her own work from her studio workshop, Kate is passionate about stocking beautiful handmade work from many other British makers and designers, from colourful ceramics, jewellery, stained glass, homewares, prints, textiles and more.

After studying jewellery and silversmithing at Loughborough College of Art & Design, Kate has been designing and making for over 30 years and still loves the process.
She uses colour and shape as a visual language with influences from mid-century art, patterns, nature, rocks & pebbles. She makes all the pieces by hand, piercing the fine details with a saw, inlaying contrasting metals and carving delicate patterns with a pendant drill. Each piece is unique. Made from recycled silver, iridescent titanium, copper and brass.

Caroline Reed – Revolve Vintage

Caroline specialises in handmade and vintage clothing. She is extremely passionate about saving textiles from landfill and giving them a new life. “Sustainable fashion is desperately needed due to climate change. I make one of a kind pieces that will last a lifetime using vintage fabrics.”

Caroline’s background is in art, obtaining a degree from Lancaster University in 2019 and exhibiting in London. She also previously designed and sold clothing from a shop she owned during the 90s.

Geoff Garner – Tan My Hide

Geoff is an established leather man and the longest resident of the mill. Specialising in handbags, belts, harnesses, archery equipment, motorcycle equipment and shooting equipment.

Mike Rotaone – Valley Records

After obsessively collecting records for several decades, my collection outgrew my living space so I decided to open a shop in Hebble End Works. Specialising in across the board second hand vinyl records and locally made music, with new stock being added regularly. From rare records to popular choices, you never know what you might find in the crates!

Geoff Dykes – Gelageo
My offering is a vocational calling rather than a profit driven business. I am driven by a passion for promoting the esoteric, principally astronomical astrology, out of a genuine desire to help others truly know themselves through their unique birth chart and ultimately to encourage them to become their own astrologer. Astrology not as you may know it.
Natalie – Natalie’s Soggy Doggies

Natalie offers a dog grooming and teeth cleaning service. She is highly rated by her clients and humans alike!

Dylan Howarth – Howarth Art Gallery

“I paint because I have to. It’s the heart of me. Capturing nature with all its beauty and devastation; its wildness and serenity.”

Hebble End Coffee Lounge

You’ll find the coffee shop facing the canal at the front of Hebble End Works, serving hot and cold food, and a large range of beverages, there’s something for everyone!
